About Dr. Ahmet Altunhan

Born in Istanbul in 1992, he qualified from Near East University Faculty of Dentistry in 2016, then pursued a PhD in Endodontics at Yeditepe University Faculty of Dentistry from 2019 to 2023. Yeditepe’s endodontics programme is among Turkey’s most competitive postgraduate routes — a four-year research-driven PhD rather than a shorter clinical certification, and the depth shows in his approach to treatment planning.
Since 2023 he has held a faculty position at Kent University, combining teaching duties with private practice at Genç Dental. His clinical focus sits across five areas: conventional root canal treatment, endodontic retreatment (working on teeth that have already had root canal work fail), dental trauma management, microscopic endodontics using operating microscopes for tiny canal anatomy, and vital pulp therapies — the conservative techniques that preserve the living pulp in young teeth or early-stage damage.
